An event to show support for the victims of the recent earthquake in Nepal is scheduled
for this Thursday night. Governor Mike Pence has named Matt Lloyd as his new Deputy Chief
of Staff for Communications and Strategy. This Friday marks the revival of a tradition in
Bloomington called First Fridays. The Town of Ellettsville is getting ready for Opening Day
at the Ball Park this weekend. The John Waldron Arts Center has been granted a noise permit
for the dedication of its new Plaza at the corner of Walnut and 4th Streets in downtown
Police in Scott County say they will continue enforcing drug paraphernalia laws, despite
concerns from public health officials trying to stem the HIV outbreak there.
