The Bloomington Plan Commission heard details this week about a proposed student housing complex planned for North Dunn Street. The proposed 746 bedroom complex would include fully furnished studio apartments, as well as larger apartments and and townhomes; The Bloomington Chapter of Habitat for Humanity began its seventh annual Builder’s Blitz on Monday; Fifteen teachers and school administrators have been chosen as the inaugural class in a new MBA program for educators through IU’s Kelley School of Business; The Bloomington Parks and Recreation department and I-U Health has partnered this summer to create 90 degree pool days; The Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington, along with partners from four other Universities, have been awarded a $1.3 million National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences Grant to develop curricula and deliver training for non-health workers who might be exposed to serious infectious diseases, like Ebola; Stone Belt, along with the Bloomington Playwrights Project and Markey’s, will present the program “I AM YOU” this coming Friday and Saturday in Bloomington.
