General Electric announced today that it plans to close its refrigerator plant in Bloomington; Workers in Monroe County will be paying more local taxes next year; A member of the Bloomington Utilities Service Board is urging the city to examine how it charges customers for water; Congressman Andre Carson announced Thursday that 4-point-3 million dollars in federal grant money will be used to place AmeriCorps members throughout Indiana.

A candlelight vigil in honor of the Orlando shooting victims drew more than a thousand people to Bloomington City Hall last night. The event was organized by Bloomington PRIDE. It featured speakers from many local organizations. We bring you some of those comments now for today’s WFHB community report. The first speaker is this next clip is Hannah Fidler, who spoke about LGBTQ Muslims.
