Cardinal Stage Managing Director Gabe Gloden

Play

After taking a “walkabout” for several years to raise funds for Wayne State University Press and then to manage the Boise (Idaho) Contemporary Theater, Gabe Gloden and his wife, actor and playwright Emily Goodson, came back to Bloomington. Gloden took over the Cardinal Stage Company without missing a beat. He had served as managing director of the Bloomington Playwrights Project when he was fresh out of the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Gloden has instituted programs to get children, families, and people who can’t afford tickets into the seats of the theaters he’s run. Cardinal’s ambitious 2019-20 season was announced last month.

Host Michael Glab goes one-on-one with Bloomington’s most fascinating people every Thursday at 5:30pm. Tune in for a bonus feature, Big Talk Extra, every Monday on the Daily Local News at 5:00pm for added chat from the previous week’s show.
