The American Society for the prevention of Cruelty to Animals and Rachel Ray are giving away one-hundred-thousand-dollars to animal shelters nationwide. The contest began in the spring, and the field was narrowed down to fifty shelters through an online voting system. Bloomington’s Animal Shelter came in second place this spring, and beginning tomorrow they will launch into round two, which they hope will bring in the grand prize of one hundred thousand dollars. WFHB News Director Alycin Bektesh visited Director Laurie Rehnquist at the animal shelter this afternoon to find out what is being done to capture the prize, for this WFHB feature exclusive.
