Their job was to outline a plan to develop a Sediment Budget on Lake Monroe. Topics which they’ll propose include a Citizen’s Science Monitoring Program, Management Policy, a Water Fund Model, Grant Opportunites, and Mapping for land use, stress input, managed lands, and hot spots of bank erosion.

On Wednesday, April 25 at 6 pm in the Banquet Facility of the Upland Brewing company, Scott Russell Sanders, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of English at Indiana University, will present a talk entitled “In Defense of the Common Wealth”. From atmosphere to oceans, from public schools to democratic government, from the justice system to the scientific enterprise—our common wealth is under assault in America today by individuals and corporations intent on increasing their private wealth at the expense of our shared wealth. Scott Sanders will talk about some of the natural and cultural goods that make up our common wealth, why they matter for our well-being, and how they might be defended from piracy and privatization.
