On March 13th at the Ellettsville Town Council meeting, the council heard an amendment to the 2023 Salary Ordinance to add a part time park employee. This ordinance would also change the Traffic Safety Education and Enforcement Overtime Rate. Council member Sandra Hash said that some changes were made to the ordinance after the first reading.

Council member Jimmie Durnill explained the changes. Hash confirmed specifics on the salary rate.

Vice President William Ellis asked for clarification on the salary range to ensure the salary was competitive.

The council approved the ordinance unanimously.

Next, the Council discussed an agreement between the Town of Ellettsville and Baker Tilly US LP. Town Manager Mike Farmer informed the council that due to inflation the cost of installing and maintaining their water system has increased drastically.

Farmer explained Baker Tilly’s involvement in the water rate study and the rate case filing.

The council approved the engagement letter with Baker Tilly US LP unanimously.

The next Ellettsville Town Council meeting will be held on Monday, March 27th.
