The middle class is the bedrock of America—the foundation upon which this nation has grown and thrived over the last two hundred and forty years. It’s no small surprise that the middle class is defined differently than it was two hundred years ago and there are constant theories of the middle class being eroded away in today’s society. Voices in the Street hit the streets to ask Bloomington residents what they think the middle class is and what are some of its defining characteristics.
