Advocacy in the AAPI Community

Play

Welcome to our 42st episode of Hearabouts: Asian American Midwest Radio! Hearabouts is produced by WFHB and Indiana University’s Asian Culture Center. We ask critical questions about identity, culture, community and shared assumptions.

Today’s episode is an interview with Shruti Rana and Seri Lee, members of the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum. Shruti Rana joined the Hamilton Lugar School faculty in 2017, focusing on international law practice and human rights law, and is now the Assistant Dean for Curricular and Undergraduate Affairs. Seri Lee currently serves as the National Organizing Manager at NAPAWF, building capacity to advance reproductive justice in our local chapters. Together with Kulsoom Tapal, they have a conversation about advocacy in the AAPI community, and what that means for public policy initiatives moving forward.
