Document: Full List of “Action Ideas” for Downtown Bloomington

The city of Bloomington is asking for feedback on a broad range of ideas that could affect the future of the downtown area. From 9AM to noon on Saturday, City Hall is hosting an event where community members will discuss various action ideas generated as part of Mayor John Hamilton’s Downtown Safety, Civility and Justice Initiative. There are dozens of ideas, ranging from the creation of more affordable housing, to restrictions on panhandling, to increased police presence and surveillance.

A complete list of action ideas is available in this document, provided to WFHB by the Community Justice and Mediation Center. The Center states that they have not evaluated the action ideas, nor do they endorse them.  They will be discussed at the event on Saturday, starting at 9AM at City Hall, 401 N. Morton Street.
