An Indiana University student group today demanded that top administrators make promises to protect undocumented students; About 150 people rallied and marched through downtown Bloomington last night, joining more than 300 groups across the country taking actions in opposition to the Dakota Access Pipeline; Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton announced today that the city plans to give an acre of downtown property to an auto parts manufacturer that wants to make its North American corporate headquarters there; Although the mood this morning at the Dimension Mill building was celebratory, some Bloomington residents are critical of the Tsuchiya deal.

On Monday night, dozens of local residents spoke at City Hall as part of an emergency meeting called in the wake of last week’s election. The meeting was organized by the Bloomington Peace Action Coalition. We bring you some of their comments now for today’s WFHB community report.
