The Seven Oaks Classical School has pushed back its opening date to September 6 due to a delay in construction; The Bloomington City Council left for a six-week recess last week without voting on the fate of a proposed electrical substation at the corner of 11th and Rogers streets; Former Herald-Times editor Bill Schrader has been selected for induction into the Indiana Journalism Hall of Fame; The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children says one in five runaways has been the victim of sex trafficking.

Indiana newspapers are riddled with stories involving children and teens drowning in bodies of waters from backyard pools to Lake Michigan. The American College of Emergency Physicians cites drowning as the leading cause of unintentional death among children between 1 and 4 years of age.
