The city of Bloomington is holding meetings all week about the proposed annexation of nearly 10,000 acres of county property. Mayor John Hamilton has proposed incorporating the areas into the city. The city government would be responsible for providing services to the areas, including trash pickup and police. Some affected property owners have voiced concerns about increased taxes and other effects of the annexation. Tonight’s meeting (3/20) begins at 6pm.

Meetings are also scheduled for this week. All meetings are estimated to last two hours, and ALL meetings will take place at City Hall:
Tuesday (3/21) at 6pm
Wednesday (3/22) at 11am
Thursday (3/23) at 11am
Friday (3/24) at 6pm
Saturday (3/25) at 11am
