Indiana Midterms See Highest Voter Turnout in Over Two Decades

Over half of eligible voters cast ballots in November’s midterm election. Indiana had 51 percent average turnout across the state. This is the highest voter turnout for Indiana during a midterm election since 1994. Slightly over two million people voted out of the four and half million eligible voters. Porter County Commissioners Ask FBI to Investigate Alleged Election Law Violations

Two days after the midterm election, and no votes have officially been counted  in northwestern Indiana’s Porter County. Commissioners in Porter County asked the FBI on Wednesday to investigate, “scores of alleged violations of Indiana Election Law,” following Tuesday’s midterm election. Nearly 60 percent of registered voters in Monroe County cast ballots in yesterday’s midterm election. That’s despite several polling places in Monroe County running out of ballots.
