Middle Way House Increased Services Over 2018

The domestic violence shelter and advocacy organization Middle Way House, in Bloomington, recently released their 2018 annual report. Middle Way House Executive Director Deborah Morrow tells WFHB’s Wes Martin the agency is continuing to grow their services, including into domestic and sexual violence prevention programs in area schools.

Limestone Post Seeks Non-Profit Status

Bloomington-based Limestone Post, announced today they’ll reform as a non-profit. Co-founder and Publisher Ron Eid said the switch is aimed at increasing the effectiveness of donations, which will allow the production of higher quality content. Deer Cull to Take Place at Griffy Nature Preserve

The Bloomington Board of Park Commissioners approved a contract with White Buffalo Inc. to coordinate this year’s Griffy Nature Preserve deer cull. Sharpshooters with the Deer Management Organization conducted the city’s 2017 deer cull. This year, the nonprofit will screen and train community hunters to conduct the cull.
