No Injuries After Underground Explosion at IU

An explosion on Indiana University’s Bloomington campus shut down Tenth Street over the weekend. On Friday night, an electrical problem blew a 60 year-old conductor underground. Indiana University Communication’s Director Chuck Carney said the explosion knocked out power to some surrounding buildings and caused the closure of the busy east-west thoroughfare in Bloomington. Hundreds of IU Students Arrive in Vegas with No Where to Stay

A 30-year old man has reportedly made a plea-deal with Bloomington Police, after around 300 Indiana University students landed in Las Vegas with no place to stay. The Associated Press reports that BPD Detectives were asked to handle the case, after hundreds of IU-Bloomington students paid a travel agent around $60,000 total, for a weekend in Vegas. Anti-Abortion Group Files Charges Against IU Student

An anti-abortion group has filed charges against an Indiana University Bloomington student. The Indiana University Student, Thomas Metcalf, spray-painted over and threw away anti-abortion signs protesters from the anti-abortion group Created Equal had set up along 10th street on IU’s campus last week.
