Bloomington Proposes Budget Increases

The city of Bloomington released its proposed annual budget on Friday. The 300-page document outlines 90 million dollars worth of expenditures. A majority of those funds are going to staff salaries. 46,000 Lose Power Across South Central Indiana

Residences and businesses across South Central Indiana lost power this afternoon. Duke Energy reported an estimated 46,000 customers affected by the outage- 15,000 of those in Monroe County, and another 6,000 across Lawrence and Bartholomew counties. Many traffic lights in downtown Bloomington are offline and downtown businesses were without power for four hours, including Bloomington City Hall. Power was out …
