Local Storms Cause Damage, Danger

Severe storms on Saturday produced strong winds, heavy rain, and tornado warnings across the southern part of the state. The storms affected local counties including Monroe, Brown, Greene, Owen, Morgan, and Lawrence. Tornadoes in Greene and Monroe counties destroyed several homes and damaged more. Indiana Midterms See Highest Voter Turnout in Over Two Decades

Over half of eligible voters cast ballots in November’s midterm election. Indiana had 51 percent average turnout across the state. This is the highest voter turnout for Indiana during a midterm election since 1994. Slightly over two million people voted out of the four and half million eligible voters. Greene Co. Defense Contractor Gets Tax Breaks

Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb announced a defense contractor will receive $1.9 million in tax credits and grants, to move to Greene County. Holcomb, joined by Greene County officials, and executives from Integrity Defense Services, announced the contractor will move to eastern Green County, on Friday.
