Heavy Rainfall, Flooding Closes Brown County SP

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources announced Brown County State Park and parts of Hoosier National Forest are closed to the public, yesterday. According to the Department of Natural Resources, Brown County State Park faces a lack of usable water due to abnormally heavy rainfall over the weekend. Columbus Moving Ahead With ‘Pollinator Park’

The park is designed to encourage pollinating wildlife, like birds, bees and butterflies, within the city, and will occupy 2.5 acres, near Cummins. The area the proposed pollinator park would occupy was flooded in 2008.
