The Indiana Department of Natural Resources confirmed Monday a black bear was involved in a automobile accident in Southern Indiana, over the weekend. A driver reported hitting a bear on Interstate 64 near New Albany, Sunday night. DNR reports the injured animal wandered off into the woods nearby after the incident. The driver was uninjured.
