Bloomington City Council to Vote on Scooter Regulations

The Bloomington City Council is considering legislation regulating scooter use in the city. The proposed ordinance regulates licensing, outlines requirements for scooter parking, condition and use, and sets fees. Scooter companies Bird and Lime already operate more than 500 scooters in Bloomington. A third company, Spin Scooters, is working with the city to bring even more scooters to town. The …

Buskirk Chumley Theater Funded For 2019

The City of Bloomington committed to funding the Buskirk Chumley Theater for another year. The Bloomington Redevelopment Commission approved its 2019 partnership agreement with the BCT, on Monday. Redevelopment Commission President Don Griffin said the agreement supports Bloomington’s quality of life. Bloomington Parks Director Paula McDevitt told the commission up to $74,000 in support will come from one of the …

Bloomington Sets Operating Agreement with Scooter Companies

An interim operating agreement between the City of Bloomington and scooter companies Lime and Bird is now official. Both the Board of Public Works and the Board of Park Commissioners approved the agreement in their meetings yesterday. City Approves Extended Hours Drilling At Grimes Interchange

Bloomington residents near the Grimes and Walnut Street sewer replacement project will have to bear another month of night time drilling. Last week, the Bloomington Board of Public Works gave its permission for contractor ISI Incorporated to work 24 hours a day for two weeks, excluding weekends.
