City Hires ‘After-Hours Ambassador’

The City of Bloomington has hired a so-called After-Hours Ambassador. Jenna Whiteaker will assume the role on July 1, which according to the city, aims to provide a liaison between downtown businesses and patrons, after city offices have closed. Little 500 Partiers Should Check Rideshare Drivers

The Little 500 bicycle race takes place on Friday and Saturday. Hundreds of IU Students Arrive in Vegas with No Where to Stay

A 30-year old man has reportedly made a plea-deal with Bloomington Police, after around 300 Indiana University students landed in Las Vegas with no place to stay. The Associated Press reports that BPD Detectives were asked to handle the case, after hundreds of IU-Bloomington students paid a travel agent around $60,000 total, for a weekend in Vegas. Bloomington Police Responding to Potentially Armed Domestic Violence Case

The Bloomington Police Department is responding to a domestic violence call on S. High St. Captain Steve Kellams confirmed the Critical Incident Response Team, which operates BPD’s recently-acquired armored vehicle, has been deployed at the scene.
