Planned Parenthood Sues Indiana

Planned Parenthood, ACLU Sue State Over Abortion Law

Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky filed a lawsuit against the Indiana State Department of Health this morning. The suit is a challenge to the constitutionality of Senate Enrolled Act 340. The law, passed earlier this year, imposing new requirements on abortion providers. It also compels all doctors to report any medical complications that occur during or after an abortion. …

New Law Collects DNA from Arrestees

Indiana’s legislature passed a law last session requiring law enforcement to collect DNA from people arrested in connection with a felony. That law went into effect on January first. Judge Rules For Marion County Man Detained On Immigration Charge

A U.S. District Judge has ruled in favor of a man who was detained by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office under the request of the federal Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
