On June 16th, long-time backpacker Michael Waterford met with prospective backpackers to present “Backpacking 101.” Michael has been on many backpacking expeditions all over the world. He met with community members in Reverend Ernest D. Butler Park to discuss how to survive in the wild, along with first aid, what to buy, and good places to explore. The event was put on by Sycamore branches.
