Bestselling Novelist Michael Koryta

A scene has stuck in Michael Koryta’s mind since he was 17 years old — that of missing IU student Jill Behrman’s father, gazing into a creek where his daughter was thought to be found. Behrman’s body later was found elsewhere. Now Koryta has written a new book, How It Happened, inspired by that heart-wrenching scene. Koryta has written 13 mystery/crime novels, some of them veering into the supernatural. Several of his titles have been optioned for consideration as major motion pictures. He worked his way through college as a reporter for the Herald-Times and a private investigator’s helper, both experiences informing his work as an author.

Michael Glab goes one-on-one with Bloomington’s most fascinating people every Thursday at 5:30pm. Tune in for a bonus feature, Big Talk Extra, every Monday on the Daily Local News at 5:00pm for added chat from the previous week’s show.
