WFHB Journalists Win SPJ Awards

In keeping with its mission of promoting and protecting a free press, the Indiana Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists has awarded 4 members of the WFHB news department in their “Best of Indiana Journalism” 2018 contest.

Sarah Vaughan was awarded in the category of Radio Feature Story for her piece, “Prosecutors, Paramedics Training to Recognize Domestic Violence Strangulation,” which was featured on WFHB’s Daily Local News program on January 2, 2018.

Doug Storm, Wes Martin, and the late Rob Schoon are awarded in the category of Radio Documentary for their piece, “The Red Scare Next Door: Anti-Communism in Evansville, Indiana,” which was featured on the WFHB program Interchange on July 31, 2018.

WFHB is proud to be a vital and recognized source of news and public affairs for Indiana.
