For more than five years war has raged on in Syria, forcing millions of Syrians to flee. Of the five million who have left, only a few thousand have made their way to the united states and even fewer to Indiana. The Bloomington Refugee Support Network is preparing to help settle Syrian refugees in March of 2017. Some have protested the settling of Syrian refugees for fear they may be associated with ISIS so Voices in the Street hit the streets to ask Bloomington residents what they think defines a refugee and how they feel about settling refugees here in the US.
