IU students are not going to be the only addition to Kirkwood: City officials are piloting an increased security program to deal with aggressive panhandling and six new cameras will be installed downtown. These will be a continuation of surveillance equipment along the B-Line trail and other strategic locations will include People’s Park and Seminary Park. It’s not yet known what cameras will be used or how much this pilot program will cost, but Voices in the Street wanted to get Bloomington residents opinion on how serious a problem they find panhandling to be.
