Bloomington has now been without a low-barrier homeless shelter for two and a half months. In past summers, the shelter at Genesis Church routinely served more than 60 people each night. But the church decided not to open a shelter again this year. And efforts to replace it have hit roadblocks with city zoning and what some say are misunderstandings about the problems of homelessness. WFHB Assistant News Director Joe Crawford brings us this story about a group that is trying to solve the shelter dilemma, at least for the next few months.
