State regulators have given a one-year extension to the business that wants to build a trash transfer station on Bloomington’s near west side. Staff at the Indiana Department of Environmental Management said today that the application was withdrawn, but it can be resubmitted any time in the next year. The delay leaves nearby residents without a clear decision about a project many worry will have negative effects on their neighborhood.
