On March 30th, the Bloomington Commission for the Status of Women hosted a panel discussion entitled “Linking Arms for Social Justice,” which took place at City Hall. The panel focused on issues of intersectionality and how gender intersects with other identities. The panelists included Sheila Kennedy, who spoke on misogyny; Francis Trix, who spoke on immigration, race, and religion; Christie Popp, who spoke on immigration; and Amrita Myers, who spoke on intersectionality, with a focus on women of color.
