A controversial subdivision is just a step away from getting the green light this week. The Bloomington City Council plans to vote Wednesday on a Habitat for Humanity project to build 35 homes on the west side of town. But to make room for the development, Habitat has to clear most of the city’s only large wooded area downtown. Some residents want Habitat to consider an alternative.
