Play

The Bloomington Farmer’s market is known not only as a premiere venue for locally grown produce, but also as a social networking locale where community not-for-profit organizations can promote themselves, search for volunteers, and educate the public. In today’s feature, we hear from City Council candidate Megan Hutchison and Jillian Kinsey from Girls Inc. who discuss the local collaboration that was recently needed to ensure the continued presence of NPO’s at the Farmer’s Market. In addition to the Farmer’s Market, Hutchison also discusses initiatives she intends to pursue if elected to City Council. We take you on-location to a recent market press conference in this WFHB radio exclusive.
