Simon Coronel, internationally renowned illusionist, opens a one-person show, “Glitches in Reality,” tomorrow at the Bloomington Playwrights Project. Chad Rabinovitz is the producing artistic director of the BPP, who, after seeing Coronel on the television program, “Penn & Teller: Fool Us,” contacted the performer with an offer to collaborate on the stage presentation. Rabinovitz — himself an amateur magician — and Coronel have crafted a show that portrays the art not as a supernatural display but an exercise in theatrics depending on psychology, physics, and engineering.
