Live from Canopy of Lights

Play

Canopy of Lights is an annual Bloomington holiday tradition for twenty-five years. On the day after Thanksgiving, thousands of people gather on Kirkwood Avenue for the lighting of the courthouse square. Notable guests include county commissioner Iris Kiesling, Bloomington mayor Mark Kruzan, and of course jolly ol’ Saint Nick, who this year promised to deliver a BIG present for the IU basketball team. You can hear the entire half-hour celebration online at wfhb.org, and today on the Daily Local News we share a highlight reel from WFHB’s live on-location recording of Canopy of Lights 2012 with host Keith Klein.
