Host William Morris welcomes long-time Indiana educator Barbara Cope in a discussion about “The State of Education in Indiana”. Ms. Cope, calling on her 50 years of experience as a public school teacher, as Vice Chancellor for Student Services at IU Northwest, and as executive director of the Gary Educational Development Foundation, reflects on school desegregation in the 1960s and the rise of economic segregation in recent years. Ms. Cope shares a range of insights on both the challenges and possible solutions confronting our schools today.
