Individuals in the Transgender Community May Be at Greater Risk of Certain Health Effects

A new study out of IU and the University of Richmond shows what has long been understood about transgender people in the United States: that they experience major and daily discrimination. But the study goes on to look at how that discrimination affects the physical health of those same people. This afternoon, WFHB News Director Joe Crawford spoke to one of the researchers behind the study, Ph.D candidate Lisa Miller, from the IU Department of Sociology.
