Celebrating one year of Big Talk as a stand-alone program following the Daily Local News every Thursday, we present an encore interview with our very first guest, Indiana poet laureate Adrian Matejka. The author of The Big Smoke, a finalist for both the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize, Matejka is an associate professor in the Indiana University Department of English, teaching literature and creative writing. Born in Nuremberg, Germany, Matejka now travels throughout the state spreading the word about the poet’s craft as he enters the second year of his two-year term as Indiana’s ambassador of verse.

Host Michael Glab goes one-on-one with Bloomington’s most fascinating people every Thursday at 5:30pm. Tune in for a bonus feature, Big Talk Extra, every Monday on the Daily Local News at 5:00pm for added chat from the previous week’s show.
