Welcome to Part One of our Commitments Episode of Hearabouts: Asian American Midwest Radio! Hearabouts is produced by WFHB and Indiana University’s Asian Culture Center. We ask critical questions about identity, culture, community and shared assumptions.

On today’s episode, we feature an interview with Pallavi Rao, activist and Indiana University graduate student. Rao speaks about the intersection of her experiences as both a student and activist. Also in the episode, Rao talks about her work regarding caste, gender, and class in contemporary India.
