Ahead of the Bloomington GE Facility closure, the Indiana Department of Workforce Development and WorkOne South Central Indiana have announced the activation of the state’s Rapid Response team. The team takes action when a significant layoff or plant closure occurs, connecting displaced employees with employment assistance. WorkOne will soon provide skill assessment sessions with GE employees, help them with resumes, connect them with local job opportunities or training services throughout the state.
