Bloomington Accumulates $3.9 Million In Unspent Funds

The City of Bloomington has accumulated  3.9 million dollars in unspent funds from last year,  and officials are now making plans for how to spend about two-thirds of that money. More Police Hired To Patrol Downtown

The Bloomington Police Department has hired more police to patrol downtown, following the recommendations of a task force assembled by Mayor John Hamilton. Police chief Michael Diekhoff told the Herald-Times the four extra officers would focus attention on drug use, fighting, and public consumption of alcohol.
