The race for Indiana’s vacant Senate seat is attracting large amounts of outside money; Sycamore Land Trust has plans to build a small parking lot leading to a new, 49-acre forest preserve located on East Rush Ridge Road; Indiana Kinsey Institute researcher Justin Garcia didn’t expect the results he got in his study on sexting—the transmission of sexual images and messages via cell-phone or other electronic devices; The Indiana Immunization Coalition has launched a new campaign to protect new college students against disease; This coming hunting season will see new protocols for detecting bovine tuberculosis (TB) in southeastern Indiana.

Darrell Boggess is a volunteer with the Solar Indiana Renewable Energy Network. He’s also the owner of a solar system that powers his home in Parkridge East. Late last month, Boggess spoke about the state of solar power in Indiana to a group gathered at Upland Brewery. The talk was part of series known as Green Drinks. We bring you part of his talk now for today’s WFHB community report.
