Director, Choreographer, Teacher: George Pinney

Play

George Pinney helped start up the musical theater degree program at Indiana University’s Department of Theatre, Drama & Contemporary Dance. Throughout his 30-year career at IU, he nurtured talented performers who’ve gone on to become mainstays on Broadway and stages around the world. Invariably described as “beloved,” Pinney credits his ear for his success as a teacher. His workshop musical production, “Tuning In,” runs through December 15th at the Bloomington Playwrights Project.

Host Michael Glab goes one-on-one with Bloomington’s most fascinating people every Thursday at 5:30pm. Tune in for a bonus feature, Big Talk Extra, every Monday on the Daily Local News at 5:00pm for added chat from the previous week’s show.
