Decarcerate Monroe County holds a public meeting to discuss the needs and desires of young people in our community and the future of county youth services. At an earlier public meeting in September, many community members, social service workers, and local officials raised important questions and concerns about moving the Youth Services Bureau into the county court system. The latest meeting asks broad questions about what we want for all young people in Monroe County, followed by action steps and activities to map hopes into practice. County council member Julie Thomas presents one possible option for restructuring YSB, after an introduction by DMC’s Nathan Quiroz.
