Indiana University will spend 50 million dollars in researching addiction over the next five years, IU President Michael McRobbie announced this afternoon; The Indiana Department of Education released school accountability grades for the 2016-2017 school year. According to the Department of Education, a quarter of Indiana schools increased their scores by one or more letter grades, and over half of Indiana’s schools were in the A to B range; The Office of Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton is looking to fund a proposed Monroe County Convention Center by levying a one percent Food and Beverage tax; In a press release issued this afternoon, the Martin Luther King Junior Commission announced they have no service project grants to award for 2018.
