Democrats in Indiana’s legislature are asking the state to take action, in the wake of growing controversy in the state’s Department of Child Services; Indiana’s annual legislative session descended into chaos in its closing minutes as bickering Republicans who control the House and the Senate blew past yesterday’s midnight deadline, and adjourned without taking up a number of key bills; Monroe County officials are looking to improve workplace safety for county employees; Americans for Prosperity has bought an additional two million dollars in attack advertisements against beleaguered Indiana Senate Democrat, Joe Donnelly; Flooding damage estimates are just now coming out for Northern Indiana counties.

FEATURE: In today’s feature report, our environmental correspondent Norm Holy talks with Purdue University’s Jeffrey Dukes. Dr. Dukes is the Director of Purdue Climate Change Research Center, and leads a global network of climate researchers. Based on his team’s recent work, Dr. Dukes gives us an eye into the changes in weather patterns Hoosiers can expect in coming decades.
