Monroe County officials are looking to purchase drone technology for police and other uses; Tomorrow night’s Bloomington city council meeting will include discussion of a tax abatement aimed at encouraging the construction of more affordable housing units; Two major interchange ramps in Bloomington are scheduled to close temporarily beginning tomorrow as a result of interstate 69 construction; The city of Bloomington isn’t waiting for the renovation of the Dimension Mill to hold events there; The Community Kitchen of Monroe County has begun their free summer meal program.

Some local officials would like to see the Monroe County government using drones. That includes the Sheriff’s Department. Correspondent Lyndsay Jones has that story for today’s WFHB community report.
