Stepping Stones, a Bloomington-based nonprofit providing transitional housing to homeless youth, has started a

fundraiser to raise 16 thousand dollars by the end of this week; Monroe County voters will be asked to directly support their local community school system this November; Last week, Monroe County’s new Surveyor, Trohn Enright-Randolph, was sworn in as the newest member of the Monroe County Plan Commission; A Bloomington Bagel Company location will be moving temporarily to 425 East Kirkwood Avenue while conducting renovating their existing building at 113 North Dunn Street; I-U’s Pervasive Technology Institute has begun their “Ready, Set, Robots!” camp this summer.

Mystery shoplifters, fake gold coins

The “mystery shopper” scammers have raised the bar with “mystery shoplifter” scams, and coin dealers report the market for gold coins is being deluged by clever fakes.
