Bloomington’s annual celebration of local food fare – The Taste of Bloomington – is this Saturday from 3pm to 11pm, in Showers Common; Monroe County is making plans for what to do with debris from tornadoes or other disasters that could affect the area; The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority has released their plans for this summer’s Crisis Assistance Cooling Program through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program; The Monroe County Plan Commission put forward a brand new set of rules for the County’s rural areas late last month.

FEATURE
A report from the National Employment Law Project found that the increasing number of jobs in Indiana offer wages under the federal median annual salary line. As poverty-level paying jobs are on the rise in Indiana, state democrats are pushing to increase minimum wage. Correspondent Sierra Gardner spoke with District 60 representative Matt Pierce about minimum wage and the current state of the job market in Indiana for today’s WFHB feature exclusive.

VOICES IN THE STREET
This Saturday, thousands of local residents will brave the heat to sample the sumptuous at the annual “Taste of Bloomington” festival. The event raises tens of thousands of dollars for Community Kitchen and the Hoosier Hills Food Bank. So Voices in the Street asked your friends and neighbors about some of their favorite Bloomington restaurants. A warning to listeners: this segment is likely to make your mouth water.
