Ellettsville officials look for ways to spur economic development; A report released from the Indiana State Department of Health says that 25 people have died from flu complications across the state this season; The city of Bloomington completed a two-year attempt at reducing deer populations at Griffy Lake last week.

Newly-named Indiana state poet laureate Adrian Matejka says Bloomington is an almost magical, mystical fertile ground for poets and creative writers. Matejka was Michael Glab’s guest on Big Talk last week. Today’s feature includes some of their conversation after the show. Matejka also talks about his work habits, why he doesn’t like to write poetry criticism, and the time his little daughter met one of the most famous poets in the world.
